Site Overview
Domain parking is a concept that allows people to register an Internet domain address/name (example: xyz.com or buyapples.net) and avoid the extra work of developing a website to go with it. Domain Parking Service Providers (DPSPs), including Google, will provide a free instant website with advertising, for these names. The DPSPs make money when web visitors click on the website ads. The DPSPs then send a percentage of the revenue they collect to the domain name owner.
Domain parking takes advantage of type-in traffic; web surfers who simply type in a keyword address (following the example above, a web surfer who wants to buy apples may type in "buyapples.net") with the hope that it will provide relevant information related to the keyword. Domain parking has historically been a good way to throw of some some extra income while domain investors wait for their names to appreciate or before they decide to go ahead and create a site to go with the name.
Recently, it has become increasingly difficult to make money from domain parking. This site will explore the best ways to generate domain parking revenue, based on the current environment.
